Yooture - The app for job seekers
The School of Engineering FHNW has developed an elaborated matching method for the innovative start-up Yooture.
Goals
Development of a dynamic and customisable matching in several dimensions and localisation of the individual “Professional Me” in relevant markets.
Background
Finding the right position is difficult: There are already many dating apps for searching a relationship, whereas the search for an ideal position is still traditional: Tediously combing job advertisements and time consuming applying. Yooture wants to change this: The app is designed to actively bring together employers and job seekers.
Results
The Institute of Data Science FHNW develops a matching method for the app. The challenge was to develop a sensible matching of a job advertisement and the professional profile: For example, a job advertisement can contain the requirement “object-oriented programming languages”. However, the job seeker’s profile says “knowledge in Perl and .NET”. The developed matching method recognizes the corresponding requirements and skills despite the different naming.
