Cell Biology and in vitro Toxicology
We employ cell cultures and tissue engineering in our research in order to investigate diseases and the efficacy and toxicity of substances.
Understanding the cellular processes and interactions that occur in tissues and organs is an essential part of drug discovery research. With established cell culture methods as well as some of our own new ones that use the latest technologies such as 3D cell cultures, bioprinting and microfluidics, we are able to determine the mechanisms of diseases and investigate the effects and side effects of substances. Our research actively supports the 3R principles (reduce, refine and replace animal testing).
