Summer School in Advanced Biotechnology
Three days – three countries – five universities
In September 2019, students and lecturers from the University of Applied Sciences FHNW, the Haute Ecole Spécialisée de Suisse Occidentale, the Management Center Innsbruck, the Università degli Studi di Palermo and the Zurich University of Applied Sciences met for the 14th annual Advanced Biotechnology Summer School. This year the FHNW hosted the event at the new Campus Muttenz.
The Università di Palermo and the School of Life Sciences FHNW have had a partnership for 15 years, which includes the exchange of students and lecturers. Five students from Palermo are currently completing their master's theses at the School of Life Sciences.
The Summer School offered a variety of lectures and workshops to stimulate students' interest and motivate and inspire them for the future. In the evenings, there was time to expand their international network and enjoy Basel's nightlife with students and lecturers from other universities and countries.
Getting to know colleagues from other cultures and having scientific and social conversations is awesome!
