Surface analysis and material testing
For the characterization and analysis of modified polymer surfaces we use suitable methods within the scope of projects or services.
The most important surface analytical methods used in this process are:
- Analysis of surface topographies using laser scanning confocal microscopy, SEM, AFM and ellipsometry.
- Spatially resolved surface chemistry using spectromicroscopy (FT-IR, Raman and ATR-IR)
- Static and dynamic contact angle measurements and determination of surface energies
- Tribology (friction and wear)
- Hardness, scratch resistance and indentation
- Characterization of optical properties
Polymer analytics and material testing:
- Thermomechanical analysis (DSC, TGA, DMA, TMA)
- Rheology, viscometry, MFI
- Spectroscopy (UV-VIS, IR, Raman, NMR, XRF)
- Chromatography (GPC, GC-MS)
- Electrical testing
- Destructive material and component testing
- Non-destructive component testing by ultrasound
