Combustion Laboratory FHNW
The FHNW's combustion laboratory offers extensive infrastructure for carrying out thermal decomposition processes in a controlled manner and recording all material and energy flows.
Our Offer
We support you with our infrastructure for research and development projects in the field of thermal and material utilisation of biomass. This makes it possible to set up project-specific test benches and carry out measurement campaigns, for example in the following areas:
- Optimisation of gasification and combustion processes
- Prototype construction
- Design and construction of test benches
- Investigations into alternative fuels
- Gas combustion test bench (gas turbines)
- Extensive measurement technology (with QMS due to accredited test centre activities)
- Large number of traceable measured variables
- Pyrolysis and biochar production
