As a computer scientist, you will work with experts from other disciplines, and teams are often made up of members from different countries – iCompetence takes this into account.
International Track You study in English – the "language of computer science" – or, as is the case with companies that operate internationally, with English as an internal lingua franca Modules focus on relevant content such as international product management or international communication and cooperation.
iPOLE Experience international and interdisciplinary study in the iPOLE learning environment. On the basis of real projects, you network with students from other disciplines and work across cultural and language barriers.
COIN seminar Learn how to "coolhunt and coolfarm" – a project in collaboration with one of the world-leading business schools – MIT (Sloan School of Management) – and other well-known universities such as SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design), University of Cologne (Dept. of Information Systems and Inf. Mgmt.) and Helsinki University of Technology (SoberIT).
A semester abroadEnhance your international outlook. Credits that you acquire while studying abroad are transferred to your degree.
At the programming centre you can ask for help with programming questions. With a coaching programme in place, you are supported in your personal study schedule right from the very beginning of your degree programme.. Project work brings you into contact with specialists with practical experience in the field.
The Usability Lab is a laboratory available to students; the lab has eye-tracking technology for capturing eye movement and thereby enables students to carry out professional tests.
Student projects
From the very first semester, you will work in teams as well as on your own on tasks set by our industry partners. Here are some examples of projects that students have completed.
With the International Track, you complete part of your degree in English – the language of the computer science industry – thereby enabling you to improve your career prospects in a global IT environment and gain an additional diploma at the same time.
