Jasmin Näpfli is a Research Associate in the Department of Research and Development at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (School of Education). Her expertise lies in the field of extended education offerings and day schools, as well as their collaboration with regular schools. Additionally, she explores topics related to school development, educational governance, and innovations in teacher education.

In her current research projects, Jasmin Näpfli is examining children’s perspectives on extended education offerings as spaces for learning and experience. She is also investigating the professionalization of staff in these programs and the collaboration between extended education offerings and schools. Another area of research addresses the reasons behind school transitions, particularly in the context of private schools, and the resulting challenges and opportunities for school development.

In addition, she is exploring which innovative learning settings are suitable for helping future teachers integrate scientific insights into their professional practice, thereby assisting them in finding solutions to the practical demands of the profession. Furthermore, she is looking into how the exchange between research and practice can be made even more beneficial.

Through her education in social work, sociology, and educational sciences, as well as her CAS in School Social Work, she brings an interdisciplinary expertise to her work. This enables her to mediate effectively between the system of social work and school and diverse stakeholders within the education sector.
