Herzlich willkommen an der Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst FHNW: Phoenix Atala wird Gastprofessor am Institut Kunst Gender Natur (IAGN)
Wir freuen uns, Prof. Phoenix Atala an der Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst FHNW (HGK) als Gastprofessor im Bereich Kunst zu begrüssen.
Phoenix Atala hat eine umfassende und hochkarätige Praxis vorzuweisen. Seine Werke wurden zahlreich ausgestellt und aufgeführt, unter anderem im Centre Pompidou in Paris, im St. Ann's Warehouse und FIAF in New York, in der Fundaçao Serralves in Porto, im Casa Encendida Madrid, im Human Ressources in Los Angeles sowie im Museum Mac-Val in Vitry-sur-Seine. Seit 2019 unterrichtet er an der EBABX - école supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux.
Mit einer Gastprofessur für Phoenix Atala konnte die HGK einen ausgewiesenen Experten in den Bereichen Performance, Film und Queerness gewinnen. Er wird ab 1. September 2022 seine umfassenden Erfahrungen als glaubhaften und hochwertigen Beitrag für das Institut Kunst Gender Natur (IAGN) und insbesondere im Master-Studiengang Fine Arts einbringen.
Die HGK setzt in ihrer aktuellen Entwicklung verstärkt auf zeitgemässe, qualitativ hochstehende Studiengänge, die Forschung, Lehre und Kollaborationen stärken. Diversität, Nachhaltigkeit und aktuelle gesellschaftliche Transformationen wie Digitalität spielen dabei eine grosse Rolle. Mit Prof. Phoenix Atala hat die HGK einen weiteren engagierten Gastprofessor gewinnen können, der in diesem Themenspektrum hervorragend zu agieren weiss.

The FHNW Academy of Art and Design (HGK) is pleased to welcome Prof. Phoenix Atala as a visiting professor in the field of art.
Phoenix Atala has a highly regarded and established artistic practice. His works have been exhibited and performed widely, including the Centre Pompidou in Paris, St Ann's Warehouse and FIAF in New York, Fundaçao Serralves in Porto, Casa Encendida Madrid, Human Resources in Los Angeles, and Museum Mac-Val in Vitry-sur-Seine. Since 2019, he has been teaching at EBABX - école supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux.
The HGK has gained a proven expert in the field of performance, film and queerness through the appointment of Phoenix Atala as a visiting professor. As of 1 September 2022, he will be a relevant and high-quality contribution to the Institute of Art Gender Nature (IAGN) and in particular the master’s programme Fine Arts.
As the HGK develops, it increasingly emphasizes contemporary, high-quality degree programmes that strengthen teaching, research, and collaboration. In this regard, diversity, sustainability, and current social transformations like digitality play a major role. Prof. Phoenix Atala has joined the HGK as another dedicated visiting professor with excellent experience in this field.
