Making Happiness Measurable: Insights from Well-Being Research, Dr. Reto Odermatt, Center for Research in Economics and Wellbeing (CREW), University of Basel
Dr. Reto Odermatt conducts applied research using data on subjective well-being in the interdisciplinary field linking economics, psychology, health and public policy. In his talk he will give a brief overview of the measurement of subjective well-being and will present insights from his projects showing how life events impact our well-being, and that people often misjudge these effects. He will also show preliminary results of his collaboration with the University Hospital Basel, where he integrates well-being measures in pharmacological studies on the effects of psychedelic substances like LSD, MDMA, or DMT in a clinical setting.
