Forschungsseminar: Vortrag von Dr. Emma B. Hodcroft
Uncovering the Evolution & Circulation of Enterovirus D68, Dr. Emma B. Hodcroft, Assistant Professor EVE Group, MPI Department, Swiss TPH & University of Basel
Phylogenetics can help us better understand the long-term relationships humans develop with endemic viruses - how our immunity protects us and how viruses change to evade it over our lives. Dr. Emma B. Hodcroft will discuss recent changes in Enterovirus D68 (EV-D68) evolution and its biennial cycle using pre- and post-pandemic data, with a focus on demographic associations in her talk and what she is might be able to find from wastewater sequencing.
