SkillsResillience
Ongoing global challenges and the twin transition have enormous impacts on the structure of industries and labour markets in European countries and regions.
Twin transition is defined as the coexistence and interplay of the two major transformational processes in contemporary society: green and digital transitions, which do not always go hand-in-hand. Due to recent macroeconomic events, like the COVID-19 pandemic and energy crisis, but also due to changes in micro determinants of how people and businesses perceive and react to global challenges, the pace of both green and digital transitions was affected SkillResilience4EU seeks to understand how to enhance the resilience of the European labour markets in the face of multiple and compounding crises, intractable societal challenges, and fundamental uncertainties regarding the outcomes of the twin transition. Therefore, it will introduce a novel way of regarding the combined impact of the twin transition and other macroeconomic drivers on the European labour market resilience.
