Musik-Akademie Basel – a campus for music and musicians

The City of Basel Music Academy is a leading centre of excellence for musical education at all levels. With Basel Music School, Basel Institut Klassik and Jazz School of Music, Schola Cantorum Basiliensis and the Institute for Continuing Education, a wide-ranging programme of teaching, research and continuing education is offered under the roof of the City of Basel Music Academy – spanning early to contemporary music and including audio design and jazz as well as diverse forms of improvisation. Situated at the heart of a city rich in culture and music, it brings together teachers, students, children, young people and adults from Basel and all over the world at a unique music campus – now with the addition of Jazzcampus in Kleinbasel, which was opened in 2014.
