FHNW School of Engineering and Environment

Study – further education – research. At the interface between people, technology and the environment.

In view of the current challenges of climate change, the scarcity of resources and the restructuring of the energy supply, the School of Engineering has expanded its environmental division and is now called the ‘FHNW School of Engineering and Environment’.

At our locations in Brugg-Windisch, Muttenz and Olten, we train Bachelor's and Master's students in engineering and optometry. Practical relevance is a central element of the full-time or part-time degree programme.

In application-orientated research and development, we support companies and institutions in their innovation projects. With our twelve institutes, we generate knowledge and solutions for practical applications.

Interface between people, technology and the environment

At the FHNW, we are reshaping the interface between technology and the environment. We are building on our proven expertise and facing up to the challenges of the future with a clear focus on collaboration.

Our aim is to create a vibrant ecosystem that links the university, business and society. This commitment should be made visible and tangible in our education and training programmes as well as in our application-oriented research.
