Alice Wilke (born 1981, Mainz, DE) studied art theory with focus on contemporary art, philosophy and exhibition design / curatorial practice at the Karlsruhe University for Art and Design (HfG). She worked as assistant curator at Kunsthalle Göppingen (2011 – 2013) and Museum Tinguely (2015). She was guest lecturer at the HfG Karlsruhe (2014/15). Since 2014 she is part of deuxpiece, a nomadic curatorial collective and has realized numerous exhibitions, events and artist publications in Switzerland and abroad. Since 2015 she is part of the editorial team of A Roland for an Oliver, Basel’s platform for independent art spaces. She is working as art mediator and writes regularly on exhibitions and for catalogues. In 2016 she gained the research stipend by Atelier Mondial for Beirut, Lebanon. In 2017 she co-curated the group show EX-SITU. Sapmles of Life Forms (Copenhagen Contemporary) and has been assistant curator for the 9th edition of KölnSkulptur (Skulpturenpark Cologne, 2017 – 2019). At the Institut Kunst she is, amongst others, coordinator of the project space Artachment and part of the research project The Women’s Institute.
