Jennifer Redmond

Jennifer joined the Bioprocess Technology Group as a research assistant on September 2023 at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW).

Her academic background includes a bachelor´s degree in neuroscience and a master´s degree involving modelling biological membranes for drug screening purposes. During this time, she gained a broad knowledge of cell and molecular biology techniques, with a particular interest in advancing cell culture technologies and their relevance to improving industry processes.

Prior to joining FHNW, Jennifer worked at Thermofisher Scientific for several years. This role involved culturing mammalian cell lines, executing various cell-based assays and assay transfers while following strict GMP requirements. The exposure to GMP provided valuable opportunities to develop documentation skills and hone technical proficiency.
