Stefanie Reiter

Starting with an apprenticeship as a chemical lab technician at Novartis, Stefanie went on to complete a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at the ZHAW. She spent the next 3 1/2 years working in downstream process development before continuing her academic journey at FHNW. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Biotechnology while working part-time as a research assistant in the BPT laboratory.

Stefanie completed her Bachelor’s thesis at the Competence Centre for Biocatalysis, investigating the structure and substrate specificity of different epimerases in correlation with antimicrobial peptides. During her time in the industry, she has been specializing in downstream processing. Her work has included the technology transfer and development of chromatography, filtration and viral inactivation steps.
