I will discuss the opportunities and challenges associated with the application of quantum technologies, quantum computers and quantum simulators to the life sciences. I will cover in particular the use cases explored in our lab such as quantum chemistry, secure quantum communications for hospital systems or quantum sensing for biological in-vitro testing. We will highlight the role of hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for near-term applications, as new digital methods in life sciences.
