Successful 4th Spring School – Together but how?

The fourth successful Spring School organized by Regio Basiliensis focused on addressing contemporary challenges such as the climate crisis, biodiversity loss, and geopolitical threats. Held from February 4th to February 9th, 2024, the event titled «Together, but how? Economy and Responsibility in a Socially Politicized World» brought together over 20 students from the University of Basel and the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland.

Discussions centered on finding common goals amidst national interests in the trinational region, particularly exploring sustainable human values, economic growth, and environmentally friendly operations. The highlight was a visit from EuroAirport’s Director, Matthias Suhr, who shared insights into the airport’s successful international collaboration. Future initiatives are planned annually, with the next Spring School scheduled from February 9th to February 14th, 2025, focusing on «Sustainable Together – Our Trinational Region: Economy and Responsibility in a Borderless World.»
