Upgrades
As the new semester begins, the FHNW Roverteam is upgrading on all fronts.
Recharged from the semester break and après ski sessions the team continues working towards the European Rover Challenge. And let me tell you, we’ve been busy!
Growing
We are pleased to announce that two new team members have joined us. Welcome Sandro Covo and Jeffrey Smith, computer science students that will do their bachelor thesis with us! Their main focus will lie on the automation of the navigation tasks and control software for the arm. You can also read more about their personal interests in the team post. We have upgraded that one as well!
Workspace
With a growing team we were now also in dire need of more working space. Furthermore, our lead mechanical engineer Jan noticed that the finished rover won’t fit through the door. Good thing we noticed that before building it. Fortunately, the FHNW was able to provide us with a bigger room that comes with a bigger door. We now have more space to collaborate as a bigger team and build our rover. Below you can see Nadine, Fabian and Constantin making use of our new workspace.
