Lena Mungenast completes PhD at the Department for Microsystems Engineering (IMTEK)

Dr. Lena Mungenast obtained her PhD and with it, the required cap!
Dr. Lena Mungenast has successfully completed her PhD at the Department for Microsystems Engineering (Institut für Mikrosystemtechnik (IMTEK) der Universität Freiburg), under the joint supervision of Prof. Dr. Jürgen Rühe (IMTEK) and Prof. Dr. Laura Suter-Dick (FHNW).
Lena’s PhD thesis focused on neural regeneration after spinal cord injury, combining material sciences and tissue engineering, specifically 3D printing, cell alignment, and fiber scaffolds. For her work, she was awarded the distinction of Dr. rer nat with a magna cum laudae.
The FHNW’s Cell Biology and In Vitro Toxicology group is very proud of Lena’s accomplishments and congratulates her warmly on this important milestone in her research career.
