Better patient-friendly treatment through novel, minimally invasive instruments and support systems.
Today, surgical procedures with the lowest possible patient stress are performed either percutaneously (minimally invasive surgery: MIC) or via body orifices (Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery: NOTES). These surgical techniques offer significant benefits to the patient but pose major challenges to surgeons and medical staff.
In cooperation with medical and pharmaceutical partners, we enhance existing instruments and methods, develop innovative miniaturized systems and create integrated surgical navigation systems, all with the aim of better treatment for difficult to treat conditions.
