Professor Rosa Domínguez

Rosa Domínguez

Curriculum Vitae

Rosa Domínguez, born in Argentina, began her training at the Muziekacademie in Antwerp (Belgium), from 1981 she studied composition in Buenos Aires and from 1984 singing with Susana Naidich. In 1987 she was able to continue her studies with Ernst Haefliger and was involved in the first productions of the Centro Experimental de Ópera y Ballet del Teatro Colón under Gerald Gandini. She finally came to Switzerland in 1990 and studied Early Music at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis with René Jacobs. She later perfected her skills with Margreet Honig in Amsterdam.

Since then, Rosa Domínguez has devoted herself to Early Music from the Renaissance to Rossini, with a particular interest in the Italian repertoire of the 17th century. Numerous CD recordings, engagements at various opera houses and collaborations with important representatives of early music bear witness to her diverse activities. She has been teaching a voice class at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis since 2003.
